My latest embroidery test for the project based on a pattern from Tina's fabric selection . Image #3 is a plate from the collection at AGNS to go with my earlier blue-ish post.
'the bluish-white post - part II': this is an embroidery sketch based on these which I did a couple of weeks ago. The fabric is Tina's hand woven samples + yet another drawing-like photo of things in snow.
A selection of the many, many treasures I found in the Dartmouth Salvation Army Thrift Stores this weekend, when I came home the tiny crochet doily plopped out of the spool : )
'another blue post'; above is a continuation of my embroidery tests for the project, these two were done from the lovely old apron found in Copenhagen. Unfortunately, due to the very limited amount of fabric available for my two stars, they both got quite wonky as I had to flip my shapes around.
just finished another embroidery test for the project; this one's a version of the fabric used in Tina's first full-scale sewing test (images nos. #3 + #4) The coral yarn is from a local vintage shop in Halifax.
'the bluish-white post': working away on the project, these are some quick sketches on a photocopy of some embroidery that I'll be doing on fabric Tina wove some time ago + a photo of some cold looking plants which looked a bit like a line drawing on the snowy backdrop.
