"nålepude" / "needle-cushion"
Just finished this "nålepude" filled with very fragrant pine needles (from our Christmas tree). It's made from 2nd hand shirts and a delightfully strange and very Canadian scarf my old friend gave me. It's a present for my ailing grandmother, so she can experience a small bit of Canada via touch and smell (it's roughly the size of two hands) when I go visit her in Copenhagen next month. It felt good doing some patchwork again, it's been a while. Was very inspired by Tina's cushions and happy to keep working with stripes and flowers.

////// + ///// (part 015) (finished stripy + floral pot)
// E Y E - J O Y //
these are a few of the things I've been delighting in lately while working on the ////// + ///// part of the project; I've enjoyed looking at the mix of patterns and use of //// in old traditional Japanese clothing. The book was a 2nd hand find from Copenhagen, the bottom photo is by Shōmei Tōmatsu.

////// + ///// (part 014) (even more stripy + floral)
Stripy sketch pot #4 is getting close to being finished; managed to salvage the old frayed label from the 2nd hand floral tablecloth and stitch it on the pot.

////// + ///// (part 012) (stripy + floral)
Have started experimenting with combining both stripy (more here, here, here, here and here) and floral (lots here, here, here, here and here too) fabric for the project and am having a lot of fun; meanwhile in Denmark Tina's busy working on some lovely stripes too for another project :)
(apologies for the bluish light, am having some technical difficulties today...)

////// + ///// (part 011)
Here are the last photos of stripy pot #3
(slightly better light today, but tricky to manage the red light booming off the bottom of the pot)

////// + ///// (part 010)
Finished the 3rd stripy pot for the project today but am waiting for sunlight to take some better photos. The labels are from the 2nd hand garments that went into making this pot; was curious to see how it'd look and thought it might be a nice reference to where the fabric came from and it's previous use.
