Fogo Island braided rug project part I (orange)





Here's braided rug sample no. 7 made while on Fogo Island.
Kym Greeley and I designed and screen printed the cotton fabric in St. John's; the pattern is based on old wall paper designs from Fogo Island. This one is only pinned together too.

    this is absolute my favourite. The colors - the combination of the pattern.
    and I like the way you show the fabric used in different ways ;)

    Mine too, of the 'new' ones at least, have a thing for the mint green one (no. II) made from the 2nd hand pillow cases, think the pattern ended up looking quite Japanese.
