Fogo Island braided rug project part I (grey)





Here's braided rug sample no. 8 made while on Fogo Island.
Kym Greeley and I designed and screen printed the cotton fabric in St. John's; the pattern is based on old wall paper designs from Fogo Island

    They are really nice! this one looks like it has snow flakes on it.

    Thank you! It's little stars, Kym and I printed them as they were on the wallpaper; a little rough. It was fun spacing the pattern out and then trying to predict where on the rug it'd show up.
